Sky Stream forgets last watched episode

I have recently changed from Sky Q to Sky Stream.
Overall I am very happy, however there is one annoying feature compared with Sky Q.

When I go into my personal playlist it often forgets the last watched episode of a series and defaults to Series 1 Episode 1. I then have to scroll though the series to find the series that I was watching and then have to scroll through the episodes until I find the one after the episode that I most recently watched.
Is this a bug or just an annoying feature of Sky Stream?

I have Entertainment OS 1.1.

Have you turned Continue Watching off?

 

Press this link and look at the Glass section at the bottom, to use continue watching it needs to be on.

Under "Viewing Preferences" in Settings there is an option called "Autoplay" which is already turned on.

The description is "Automatically play the next episode in the series".

 

Is this what you mean?

@Tim+Adams That link takes me to the Data & personalisation page which just contains options for "Household communication preferences", "Sky Id", "Tailored TV advertising" and "Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling".
This last section only contains one option "Enable Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling".

All options on this page are on.

If I go to https://www.sky.com/mydetails/sky-id There is a message "We've found an old inactive account linked to your Sky iD.
You need to unlink it to enjoy all of your Sky services on your new account."

 

If I click on the "Unlink your old account" button below the message it just takes me to the error page with the message:

"Whoops, there's been an error

Sorry, we are experiencing some technical difficulties, please try again later."

Could this be related to the problem, or it it something completely different?

Mine sometimes does this I find if I stay on the screen for 30 seconds or so it refreshes to the right episode

Sometimes it will update the button from "Play S1:E1" to "Continue S9:E6", for example, after a few seconds but often it does not.

This is now also fore0getting all the play to points and bars on the eppisodes.

waiting 30sec no longer works and it seems to be every time the software updates, even a minor version.

realy poor system all this must be wrapped up in the account, somewhere as when its working you can go to a different puck and continue watching.

@ToeKnee60 This is a known issue and Sky are aware of this. They are looking into a fix asap for the linking issue
