Sky Stream but with sport only is it yet possible?

Quick question my contract is up for renewal in July and now the shows on demand are littered with ads that you can't pay to remove and you have to use the awful £5 ad skip I was wondering if it is possible to take Sky sports package and UHD without taking the base TV package?

That would have to be a new pack at higher cost, as was the case on DSat in the past🤔

The base pack covers costs beyond the entertainment channels and on-demand provided😉

NOW remains the only way to purchase subscriptions to Sky Sports independently of Entertainment. Only in HD though. As yet there is no option for UHD via NOW.

@Padam_PadamNot correct. Virgin media customers can purchase just sky sports within their free Virgin stream service, albeit only available to Virgin media customers. Sky sports comes in HD as standard and they also have the option of UHD for an additional £6.30 a month

Thanks for the correction. I know precisely zero about sport and have no interest whatsoever in watching it, so this is entirely useless info for me but very useful to anyone considering ditching Sky and looking for an alternative source of sport. 👍

Just for information. BTTV/EETV have a sport only package, (Big Sport), which gives you access to UHD TNT Sport, and HD for Sky Sports, but only with BT/EE Broadband.

@Hunter2660 and it's expensive and a pain in the **bleep** to change packs. Better off going direct with NowTV for the flexibility and not having to have their expensive box and **bleep**e service that doesn't work.... I'm talking from experience 👌🏻

I see lots of reports on socials that the UHD Sky Sports channels are showing in the TV Guide in the NOW app on various devices, so the option to just get Sky Sports in UHD appears to draw nearer.

I suspect it may be flexible but very expensive and no idea if it includes HDR at this stage.

Naturally, the current offer of free UHD to new Sky Stream customers for 18 months is totally coincidental. 😁
