I'd forgotten about this topic, but have been having this problem every few weeks since I last posted, sometimes more frequently.
It's definitely down to the TV and box not communicating correctly if they're turned on close together. To minimise it, you just have to wait a bit after switching the TV on before you turn the box on. Odd, never experienced with any other equipment ever, but manageable.
