System is 1 x Sky Steam puck connected to a Samsung 43 Inch 2-3 years old.
Internet connection is 900/900 fibre and the puck is connected via ethernet.
On power up the box gives the error "Sorry because of a technical issue you are experiencing a limited service." On restarting the box from this message we get the puck is not connected over wifi. Please note wifi is actually disabled and the box is connected over ethernet. This has happened twice over the last 4 days and wondered if anyone can give me a clue as to the issue ?
Thanks in advance,
David Shepherd

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Dshepherd There a couple of things you can check in settings. Make sure that Networked Standby Mode is turned ON. Also as you are connected by Ethernet make sure that WiiFii is actually turned OFF in settings as there have been instances reported on the forum where people who had turned it off find that it has turned on again.
Although conventional wisdom says Ethernet is best some people have found that WiiFii suits their setup better so it might be worth trying WiiFii.

Many thanks for the responses.
My internet provider is a company called Hey Broadband. I am curious though as to the problems you could be seeing with your provider, there may be a correlation with mine.
On the subject of network standby etc these setting have already been made.
I will update the thread with any further information .
Many thanks
David
