Ill be trying this on my two in the next hour or so. Thanks for this.
Will report back any changes.

Call me a sceptic but I am 😀
Not a good start when 1 & 3 did not work and I had to press 4 & 6 first before it would do so.
I have 3 to do this on, will be trying on one at a time.
1. Is there no way to force a quicker update rather than having to wait overnight to see?
2. How do we know if an update has been done?
We will see.

Thanks @KevNewMedia. I will also try this shortly and report back.

It's working, got too eager to wait till the morning. I left it on while I went to Tesco, which was easily 50 mins. It turned itself onto stanby while I was out, and hallelujah the remote turns on the puck while in Bluetooth mode now.

Worked for me too. Leaving it overnight isn't required, once the second power cycle is complete, it should be updated and working. Turn the puck off for 10 minutes to make sure it's in full standby, block the IR transmitter to be certain, then power the puck on.

Two of my three restarted as instructed. Both now working rapid on and off via BT.
If you look in system management, build version, it now says software update in progress on the two ive restarted. QS024.012.00P
All good It would seem. Thanks.

Early testing with 3 of my pucks seems to show that the fix works. Thank you.

That software update message is a bit misleading. Its a bug it always says that unfortunately 😀. Although i believe that maybe getting fixed in the next software update.

The updates are rolled out in batches ..... it's pot luck if you get it in one of the first batches or one of the following batches

@Fothergill1 although working fine now, mine still says QS024.012.00P "Software Update in Progress"

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@G+Champion Unfortunately the fact it says it is updating means nothing as that is the bug. It always says that if you highlight the build version. However the good news is the new QS025.011.00P update is starting to roll out. My stream puck received it last night. 😀
EDIT - Just to avoid confusion the bug fix for turning on your puck using bluetooth is seperate to the QS025 update.

What you are referring to is the software version of the puck which is different to the remote firmware.
As previously mentioned that message is always there as it's a bug which is fixed in QS25.
