Sky Stream - Playlist not showing UHD version of F1 episodes

So it gets much worse. Now that ive got F1 added to my playlist in UHD by adding to playlist inadvance (instead of caching up) on my second sky stream puck upstairs which is connected to an HD TV I cant watch the F1 which is in my playlist as it will now only serve the UHD versions 🤦‍♂️. 

And to make things worse if I try to watch the HD version from catch up by searching for F1 and going to the "incase you've missed" rail which does serve the HD versions while the episodes thumbnails show the Miami FP1 and Miami Sprint Qualifying when you tap on them they show the Chinese HP. 

How can things be this bad, the bugs are unforgivable.

It's pathetic we still have these issues, I've had UHD for a few years now and still can't see the UHD channels in the listings , have to manually let them in or use home page, sometiems they will switch sometimes not. They've had years to fix this

I emailed sky customer service, basically there is no interest in providing what we were over sold.

Goes against the reassurances of functionality I was promised when moving from Sky Q! Another bugbear of mine is that Channel4 News never appears on catchup, so unless I catch it while it's on (when I can 'watch from start'), I can't watch it.

I also don't understand why the box won't stay paused for more than about 10 minutes. If I'm happily watching the F1 in UHD, pause it to sort the children out, after 10 mins the box goes to sleep. When you wake it up again, it's back to live (creating spoilers) plus there is no way to go back to where you were. You have to 'watch from start' then fast forward all the way through. It's really really poor!

I should also be able to pause in one room, then easily be able to pick up that point somewhere else. My Sky Q was distributed by HDBaseT to all TVs, so this process was flawless.

I did report it to Viewer relatons and got a standard nondescript reply. As a customer I took the inference from the reply that Sky didn;t care.

Stumbled across this problem last season and had a play about this morning after fp1. 
I have gone into settings and then picture and sound, where it shows default streaming format, I have changed from auto to uhd, now when I go into playlist and select the f1 from there to catchup on it shows in uhd. 
May be worth a try for anyone else struggling with this problem and see how it goes

Thanks for that, I got excited, but only for a moment.

I've just checked and my streaming format is already set to UHD. and picture resolution to 2160p UHD, yet when I go into my playlist it shows future showings of the F1 available in UHD, but none of the previous showings.

strange, have you tried setting streaming to auto then back to uhd playback? 
I've just gone back through, and when I go back to previous showings (Chinese Grand Prix) it shows as uhd format.

Yes very strange, I have gone and changed it to "Auto" then gone to my playlist and can now watch previous episodes in UHD.. Going to quit will I am ahead.

Even stranger went to our other puck and it is already set to "Auto" and where before I couldn't watch catch up in UHD I now can, without any intervention from me. I wonder if Sky have done something in the background

Mine plays back the UHD version, but the issue is it's still pulling the version recorded from the Main event channel. It's not an issue this weekend with the race being early in the morning, but I can foresee issues later down the line.

Can confirm this morning, that everything from yesterday has switched over to the sky f1 channel in hd only, can only watch what has been on so far this morning in uhd on main event channel. 
so the problem still unfortunately exists.
