Sky Stream - I don't have a TV - How do I log onto Netflix & Discovery+ websites?

Hi there

I ordered Sky Stream so I could watch content online. I don't have a TV; I view on a computer.

I've downloaded the Sky Go app, so that's fine. But I can't log onto Netflix or Discovery+ websites.

Is it possible to get activation links from Sky to do this?

Thanks

No. You need a TV or a monitor with HDMI input in order to activate your Netflix and Discovery+ service via the Stream puck.

Hi @ListerSkies80  I have never come across someone trying to use a Stream puck without a TV and using it through a computer.

Have you signed into your Sky account and have you subscribed to a viewing package?  Sky Essential is the cheapest and includes Netflix and Discovery +.

Try googling, "how do I use Sky stream through a computer" or something similar.

Good luck.

@ListerSkies80 Sky Stream isn't that type of streaming service, its hardware that requires a TV to use and activated the additional included services like Netflix and Discovery +.

If you want access to Sky's TV channels and programming through streaming that can be done via a laptop/tablet then NOW TV is the service to look at.

Your best bet is to activate the puck on a friends TV, adding Netflix and Discovery+, then continue with Sky Go.

No, Sky Stream is a TV orientated platform.

You will need to activate your Sky Stream puck with the hdmi cable supplied to a TV ( or compatible monitor) and it must be connected to your home broadband.

A Sky stream puck will not work connected to a laptop computer, but may work if connected via an hdmi cable to certain types of computer type external monitor. Not in my view a good viewing experience though.

You will then need the Puck to stay active in standby mode, connected to your home broadband and connected  to a TV for the Sky account to recognise and for a continual number of online and hardware security checks that Sky perform to ensure the Sky Stream is present, active and only being used at your Sky account registered address.

Sky Go will only show your Sky subscribed pack channels and Sky subscribed pack On demand,  not any third party apps.

Not sure if you are saying if your Sky Go has started working yet, but you will need the Sky Stream puck to be active as described above.

The Streaming TV billing starts when you activate your Sky Stream puck and any subscriptions are charged a month in advance.

If you don’t activate your Sky Stream puck within 21 days of delivery, your subscription and billing will start automatically.

Your best bet as above is to look at Now TV ( for SKy subscribed packs)  and subscribe separately to the third party apps you mention, if you prefer watching on a computer.
