Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering

Just another to add to the list of stream users finding and UHD sport unwatchable. It was never this bad when I first got stream when it launched but has gotten progressively worse over the last year to the point that it seems just about everyone else is experiencing now.

Sky infrastructure the issue? Or the puck being too underpowered now to cope with software revisions (like an older phone with newer operating systems)? I find my pick horrendously laggy in menus when UHD is playing in the background, sometimes a reboot cures that or switching to none-UHD content, but it feels like it just gets progressively laggy the longer it's in use?

Please fix or might as well cancel UHD!

I'm having the same issues, stuttering etc. I have 900Mbps FTTP, I'm using my own WiFi 7 router, Netflix Speedtest and I'm getting 360Mb using WiFi. This has to be a Sky issue, TNT Sports Ultimate is faultless. Come on Sky get this sorted out.

I have been experiencing the same issue for some time and it has now got to a point where I am seriously thinking about cancelling the UHD channels

You cannot expect all pucks to have a clear line of sight to the router...they are often in different rooms

I'm using Ethernet cables now via home plug in extenders. After a restart it's 95% better

Same, 1gb internet and Eero 1000mb WiFi. So defo it's sky 💯 as it'll be running at full strength.

Same here, same of the UHD live sync. Others like TNT UHD absolutely fine. It's quite frustrating.

I've put the premier league uhd channel on. Rewound it about 10 seconds, and it's been fine since half time. That channel took some finding mind!!!

This is just a complete waste of time. Does anybody from Sky even look at this or is it just a "do it yourself" service solution. 

it's pathetic. So many people are suffering from stuttering issues. Would be great if somebody official could acknowledge.

Has anyone noticed that even if the speed of the live picture in Sport UHD is up and down the action replays of events immediately after are smooth. If this is a real situation it could shed some light on sorting it out.

It's affecting F1 both live and recorded

They will probably keep saying it's our network but we can only hope they take some responsibility and do something with yet another issue with the service.

I know a couple of people who have sky glass and a puck. They don't get the stuttering on the tv, but on the puck. 

The pucks are just poor quality in my eyes, slow and glitchy.

Now this is an interesting nugget of info, I don't have TNT Sports so if their UHD live stream is rock solid then it's without a doubt a Sky transmission issue. 

Kind of makes sense given that UHD content on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Disney+ have no issues at all.

Good point. I have TNT sports and watch via the Sky puck, never had problems with picture. But Sky Sports UHD usually has some slowdown/speed up problems with live football. Would be interested to get a response from Sky on this!
