Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering

  Interesting I have just swapped my puck on my main tv with a newer virtually unused one from the spare room , and sky f1 uhd is on channel 902 whilst on my older one , used until now ,  it's on 407 and as of this moment 07:41am) it's working perfectly altho I guess the load in the servers us fairly low ..

Thank you. I'm glad it's not just me. Try to raise it with sky and after answering all the questions it says "this isn't your sky stream this is likely a temporary issue with the channel" or something like that... I guess I'll give HD a go over UHD and see if there's any difference. Yesterday I ended up having Sky go on my laptop and used a HDMI to connect to my TV! No issues with that but such a faff

@PHardy1001  Out of curiosity but does a restart of your hub help with these issues?  is that something you've tried?

It's obviously getting worse this issue .Issues have been occurring for months on the latency channel and then recently on other channels like the F1 etc as we see

Let's hope that they can sort it out once and for all

Tried restart of hub, refresh but still occuring on UHD channels. Watched Fulham yesterday on 402 and everything was fine.

I'm watching the F1 now and it's the worst it's ever been. Laggy/sticky picture. I can replicate across two different pucks and TVs.

Sky, youbreally need to sort this ASAP. 1Gbs hard wired to puck and football in UHD has been unwatchable for weeks. So, that's me paying for Sky Sports, extra for UHD, and Sky broadband, all to not be able to watch the football. I trust you will be autoprocessing a refund for as long as this has been and remains an unfixed problem?

ringing customer services for money back happens too much. 

you keep trying to upsell mobile network deals. This is giving me no confidence in your infrastructure. Seems you have bandwidth problems.

Ok going to buck the trend and say something positive altho it may not last . As previously posted switched pucks earlier today and put a basically new unused one on my main tv . Sometime in the morning I suspect it updated and the F1 channels reverted back to 407 for uhd  and 902 for hd . Watched UHD first on 902 this morning then on 407 for the live  GP coverage , ... not a stutter or sound issue all day -- altho it's now very sluggish changing channels .

Like everyone else I have a problem with watching Football in particular in UHD ONLY - same match in HD is perfectly smooth picture.  I have had so many phone conversations with SKY TV assistants I am ready to give up........ the problems are said to be (choose which you like): Distance from the wifi router (20 ft), internal walls, electrical interference (why dont I get stuttering watching literally anything else in UHD), the puck software is out of date (updated but absolutely no improvement) it seems that nobody at Sky is prepared to admit THERE IS A PROBLEM HERE.

For whatever reason it seems the Sky puck just cannot deal with the rapid data flows of a football match in UHD.  Independent tech people tell me that sports programmes in UHD should be watchable on a 4k TV with a broadband speed of a bit over 50 MBPS so the problem as others have said seems to be with the puck!!

I also overheard a conversation where a broadband engineer was saying to someone else he believed that this was known to be an issue when the Sky Stream / Puck system was first introduced and the only answer was 500 MBPS fibre broadband and the Now TV App - I hope this is wrong.

I've got 1Gb fibre and it still plays up.    So I think it's the puck and its software.   Anyway, hopefully some of this feedback will help somewhere as I really like the product overall and this is my one glitch!

I have 1,2 GB at the ee hub , a hard wired dedicated ethernet cable from the puck , via a switch with nothing else on it , into one of the ports on the back of the ee hub,  and its still has been a issue so speed is not a factor I think
