Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
I have posted before on this issue and have seen other people having the same issue. Sky Sports UHD channel 401 is now unwatchable due to picture stuttering and poor volume quality. This is not a Wi-Fi/bandwidth issue as I have carried out all of the checks satisfactorily. The F1 UHD channel seems to be ok and other apps running in UHD are also not affected.
People are paying good money to watch sport in UHD and with the football starting soon, there are going to be a lot of angry and disappointed people. This issue has been ongoing for too long. It's about time Sky sorted it out!

Re: Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
@Thunderbird I understand your frustration but uncertain how many subscribers actually have this problem. Watching in UHD is important to me I give preferences to shows broadcast in UHD over those that do not. For the near year of being with Stream have never had a problem with mine. So I am just wondering is it a big Stream problem that lots of other are also experiencing? I would be interesting to hear what others experiences are!

It's also happening in the latency 922 channel but apparently Sky are aware of the issue

I agree with you @Stephen+Mourton - if this were an inherent platform issue, there would be hundreds of complaints on this forum specifically about picture issues on the Sky Sports UHD channels.
Personally, I've had no issues with the picture on these channels.

We have the same issue. Even when starting the race from the start, the picture pixilates every few seconds. Sound continues as normal but the picture jumps/pixilates all the way through the race. Not the connection as we have paid for the ultra fast WiFi, hasn't solved the problem.
No other channel or app does this to the picture.

Re: Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
A common comment when issues arise is that it can't be the Wi-Fi as we have a good connection and speed.. If that is the case and you are connected via an Ethernet cable then ignore this. If however you are connecting via Wi-Fi more is sometimes needed. For instance does your puck have a clear line of sight to your router. Are both clear of any objects with space around them, and is the router in a window or by a mirror? No matter how good your internet might be any of those things will effect it.

Our roter is next to the puck...which is next to the TV...
Strange that no other HD channel or app has the pixelation... only sky sports HD... infuriating watching the F1 with terrible picture, considering we pay extra for it all.

Not necessarily strange, the live sports channels tend to require better bandwidth than the other channels.
Is the puck and router out in the open I.e the puck for instance isn't on middle shelf of a Tv cabinet or something of that nature?
I initially had the same issue ( only with sport) when I moved to Sky stream a couple of years ago over WiFi and Ethernet solved the issue. I've since moved the puck to another room and can connect it with no
issues via WIFi as my puck is now more in the open with no any electrocal
devoces (aside from the TV) close to it.
Wifi networks are incredibly prone to interference unfortunately, particularly networks created by the more basic routers that ISPs tend to provide.

Re: Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
Yeah it's not covered by another shelf, it's in front of the TV with only the TV near it.

As your router is so close, might I suggest you try connecting the router to the puck with an ethernet cable? If you do, turn WiFi off in the Settings.
Ethernet is a more reliable and stable way to connect because it isn't prone to interference in the way WiFi is.
Plenty of people who switched to ethernet from WiFi have barely had any connection issues since. Got to be worth a try hasn't it?

Re: Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
@Hmorgan1 I appreciate this is frustrating and of course we are only trying to help. Obviously we are not there to look, but when you say the tv, puck and router are next to each other, how close are they? As mentioned above a clear line of sight from the router to your puck is important without other objects close to them.

Re: Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
@Hmorgan1 I have Glass, not Stream but my first week connecting via WiFi was a nightmare despite not having many devices using the internet or WiFi. Switched to ethernet and have had no connection issues in the 3.5 years since.
My only Glass issues have been firmware related.

Re: Sky Sports UHD Picture Stuttering and Poor Volume
Tried and tested connection through earthnet and it makes mo difference. Notice it is doing it on all TV channels too. Shall have to give sky a ring tomorrow...
Thanks for the idea though!
