Re: Sky Puck - remote works for channels but has stopped changing the volume and turning the tv off

Checked it.. all software was up to date... I noticed  when going through the 1+3 7+9 process that having checked the 21 options and then chosen Samsung and a further 8 options, it decided that my telly wasn't compatible... and yet on Monday it was..

Re: sky puck remote

Use Alexa to switch off the TV, the puck should then drop into standby at the same time.

Something I've noticed for those that change TV, is the 7and 9 can be an important bit.

But it may also work for those that have lost the TV connection, sometimes from a TV update.

It seems until, you have unpaired your remote properly, no end of trying works well to repair the remote to the TV.

I would suggest first power down your TV and Sky Stream, then power back on.

Do not use Sky Stream remote.

Do a 7 and 9 unpair on the Sky Stream remote, preferably away or out of sight from your Sky Stream, just to be sure it's not still registering. Do make sure you keep it held for 3 seconds or longer.

Then do the normal repair sequence for the Sky Stream of 1&2 holding for 3 seconds or longer.

But, do not at this point do the TV connect part. Restart the Sky Stream puck from settings, leave for five mins or so once the Sky Stream puck box is up.

Go to Puck settings Connect devices and connect the remote to Tv option there.

OK. Turning on the puck should bring the TV out of standby, (if it's set up right). The reverse is try turning the puck off with the Stream remote, then use Alexa to switch off the TV.

It sounds like HDMI control is not enabled on the Stream. Can you check?
