Sky Puck - remote works for channels but has stopped changing the volume and turning the tv off

I have sky Glass and a Sky puck (the latter in my bedroom) which for the best part of year has been working exactly as it should. However, yesterday it decided to not alter the volume nor is it turning my puck and TV off.

I've changed batteries

I've tried the 1 & 3 option (it tells me its connected - and it does indeed change channels but nothing else)

I've tried 7 & 9 and I've tried the 7 & 9 4 & 6 and 1 & 3, but no difference

Why has it suddenly stopped... my router hasn't moved, my TV hasn't changed...

Help?

Best bet is to go into the puck s settings menu and select "connected devices" there's an option in there to set the remote to operate your tv 

run through the options again as prompted on the screen to try and setup the remote to control your tv

Good idea, and I think its the one I've tried about 5 times but without success. Went through the 21 options offered and then the further 8, no joy...

I've seen a few similar posts in the past month where the same has happened post a recent update . What model and make is your tv ?

A fair point, it's a 55" Samsung, probably about 3 or 4 years old? Flat screen smart, so not too old, but until Saturday it was all working beautifully together. I did wonder if it had overnight become incompatible but I can't see that being logical..

There's been a lot of posts like yours in the past few weeks .... what's the make and model of your tv ?

The guidance received is to make sure the Stream has HDMI control enabled in the Startup and Standby menu as well as the corresponding setting on the TV, For LG for e.g its called Simplink

Another fair point but given that nothing has changed over the past eight months it has suddenly stopped.. no adjustments,  no moving, no change in routers etc etc ... why would it suddenly stop doing it?

Maybe the tv itself has had an update and it has reverted some of the settings back to default ? If you could try the above I can provide feedback in the closed forum ...
