Hi Mandy+Mel, thanks for the update, I'm sure I'll be watching the football on delay this weekend so I'll update where I can.

Re: Skipping for up to 30 seconds, anyone else having this problem?

Just called Sky as they had closed my complaint.

Update as follows.

"They are aware of this problem and are unable to fix it."

"They "hope" it may be fixed with future updates, but can't give any idea of when."

"There is not much point of keeping complaint open as I will probably know when it is fixed before they do."

They appear to be getting a lot of calls on this, and are now pushing the line  that I pay for live sports which is not affected.

Need to watch last episode of the Jackal and will then cancel and ask for a refund of  Sport payments since July.

Overall - quite dissapointing.

  • It seems to be okay for me now. I watched the Spurs vs Liverpool game and it didn't skip once

What software release are you on ?

Mine is currently QS034.022.00P.

I forced a hard reset after receiving this update to ensure Stream puck is updated correctly.

I have then set the sound back to PCM Stereo

This is matched to the HDMI Audio Format PCM on my Panasonic TV

As I feed a Sonos Beam Gen1 via HDMI ARC, I aslo set HDMI Auto Setting to Mode .

This config seems to work for me.

I watched Spurs Liverpool on catch up and it seemed to be ok.

Fingers crossed, but I would like to see it work regularly before I believe its fixed.

The next Grand Prix would be a better test.

Spurs v Liverpool worked fine. Hopefully it's fixed 👍

Actually, it seems to be working. No skipping for the last 3 weeks or so on football - don't know about F1.

Watch from start

Sick and tired of going to watch from start and the stream then dropping and reverting back to live tv!  I then find I cannot get back to where I was until either a replay or a catch up hours later!  This constantly happens

Re: Watch from start

Exact same problem. Wish I had never heard of Sky Glass and all the problems I've had with it.

Why are the Sky Stream technical support not aware of this?
Does it happen to everybody or just some?
they're sending me out yet another puck, after being assured I was the only person with this fault.

The last few comments (all on 24 Dec) seem to be a different problem to the rest of the thread.

The main issue noted in this thread is regular involuntary skipping forward when watching Sky Stream of recently-aired live shows. So far it seems fixed judging by a few recent comments - but I'll believe it when I see it for myself when the 2025 F1 season begins.

@DavidFi
That'll be down to @Nohhvcb post being merged into this one and my reply with it as I was in mid-type when it happened. It was a post all on its own https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Stream/sky-stream-skips-to-live-TV-when-broadcast-has-ended/m-p/486...

The technical team are aware of it as it's a known problem they are investigating, however the customer services staff you speak to may not be aware of the particular issue.
