I have the following from SKY as below:-
Thank you for your email and I'm sorry to see that you have had difficulties when trying to watch the F1 races.
As this is an open issue that our teams are currently working on and we don't have a timeframe for the expected fixes to be in place to avoid instances of this we wouldn't be in a position to offer any goodwill gestures at this time. Once we have more news on the fix being in place we can then look to discuss this with you further.
I have emailed them back saying this is not a goodwill offer, it is compensation for payment I made for a service they didnt provide and will be contacting Ofcom if they dont give a satisfactory response. I suggest everyoue threatens to contact Ofcom, may have more of an effect.
Will see what happens!

This again is happening again for f1 race today 8th Dec. Why is this not being fixed Sky !!!

All the online support tools tell you the service is working fine, when I call customer servcie they advise that yes, it IS a known issue with streaming F1 only. But it is only known to support personnel. That information is not visible to customers.
It has been known about for months, yet still no sign of a fix.
Today's race is completely unwatchable as it is constantly skipping forward. Not the first time I have had the issue either. I do not want any of the other Sky Sports channels but have to pay a lot for teh entire package just so I can watch F1, and I can't even do that now. Support say there's nothing they can or will do about it, no refunds, all they can do is pass you on to cancellations to cancel your sport subscription until it is fixed (whenever that might be since they don't even tell you it's broken so why would they tell you it is fixed).
Sky's customer service has steadily deteriorated in recent years. With so many other streaming options now they need to up their game.

I don't know if this is the same problem you guys are having but watching the FUlham vs Arsenal game the sound was stopping every few seconds, and then the picture would freeze a few seconds after, then it will all carry on, but then repeat again 10s or so later. It was quite regular. Since it never skipped forward, only froze and carried on, I assume I was getting further and further behind the live feed.
I came out of the channel, chose another channel, and then went back to the match and now it seems to be ok.
All a bit flakey though isn't it at the moment?

Sky are fully aware of the problem and have been for a while, I am having weekly calls with them about this and other ad break skipping issues. I have given up getting a fix this season, but the reality is, everyone that is paying for F1 this season should get next season free, or at least at a highly discounted price, it's not good enough.
being forced to watch Channel 4 coverage (when it is available) is a terrible solution, especially when you are paying additional for it.
get it sorted Sky, you are charging for an unwatchable product.

Just here to add my +1 to the issues with the F1 today.
Work nights so just woke up and thought I would catch up with the F1, streaming Pick started jumping and skipping the action, so moved to the the Sky Glass and same skips in the same places. Both devices are hardwired into the network, speed tests are showing 60mbps+, so seems to be an issue with the stored content on the Sky servers.
Never had an issue before moving to their streaming services, bring back good old satellites!

I had issues again today trying to watch the F1 in UHD. Is everyone on this chat who had issues with sound sync and stutters watching UHD ?

I am watching in standard HD, and it's not desync or sound issues. The entire playback skips forward constantly, missing out a minute at a time so when there's any action you are more than likely to miss it. Totally unwatchable.
The whole service is a bit flaky at the best of times, it's like pre-Beta software but charging a premium price for it. But the streaming of a live sporting event where you can't watch it without wanting to throw the puck out of the window is just unacceptable.

Thats not great I had hoped that this would have been a UHD problem only, anyone watching the foootball on UHD now and still having issues ?

It's not just on the F1 Channel it's happening on all the football channels as well when in playback. I had conversations on both last week with support and was informed that it was officially logged on 15th Nov, that they were working on it but no indication of a timescale for a fix. They then closed my complaint. I'll be making another complaint this week and threaten g them with Ofcom.

I've reset my modem, Sky puck, kitchen stove, smart watch, and wife's iPad. Sky is still skipping.
I can't think of anything else to reset. Perhaps my smart air purifier?

When I spoke to Sky Complaints this week (on Whatsapp) Gemma at Sky said "I am sorry that you are having the known issue with the playlist, this has not always been part of our known issues. We did have it for a short time and thought the last update fixed it but it has appeared back and this is currently being worked on by our technical team to fix it as soon as possible." An interesting statement given that I hadn't mentioned the playlist. I clarified what I had actually complained about and she went on to say "The issue with the skipping and jumping and going back to the start is linked with the playlist issue we are also having, we are aware of both issues and trying to get them sorted as soon as possible"

Yes this is happening to me as well. I'm just trying to watch the f1 and it skips forward about 4 seconds every minute. It's not the first time this has happened, not happy to pay for this service

It's a shame that so much people plus more is having this issue while sky keeps advertising for more people to join this system they have created a community to ask for help but do nothing ever gets fixed this issue has never been fixed and will not be acknowledged incase they have to pay us back some money
