Satalite wire to main box has been cut and even though I have new streaming puck I am gettin no sign

I have cut the wire from my satellite dish to the main sky box I have the new puck outside and in, do I still need the wire from the dish to the main box in the house, as I am getting no signal to my TV?

If you have a Sky Stream puck then you do not need a cable to the satellite dish. What you do need is a decent broadband connection. You need to connect the Stream puck to your TV with the supplied HDMI cable, connect it to mains power, turn it on and select the appropriate HDMI input on your TV using the TV remote control. Then follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Stream puck and connect it to your broadband.

Your current Sky+ or Sky Q box is now obsolete so you can remove it and wait for Sky to request its return.

@angela1955   Are you sure you have Sky Stream and not SkyQ?  It is not possible to have a puck outside and in, the puck is only for inside.

What exactly do you mean by having a puck outside and inside?
