My remote has been working fine since I got the stream box 3 months ago.
But now when I press up on the volume it brings up the search function. Down on the volume does nothing.
I also noticed the mic button for voice searching no longer functions.
I've tried the following:
- switching everything off and on
- re-synching the remote via settings (it doesn't work)
- resetting the remote holding 7/9 then 1/3 - nothing happens.
Any advice would be appreciated!

@Nick+Jones1234 Yes, if the remote is faulty Sky will replace it, they replaced mine as it was chewing through batteries.
Follow the advice & link given above by @Tim+Adams and phone Sky if yiu don't resolve the issue.
If you have one available you can use a Sky Q remote whilst you wait for a replacement.

Had a similar issue following my sky remote making a small ‘pop’ sound on Saturday evening.
Replaced batteries, tried unpairing (which simply turned off the box because the number 3 button was now the ‘new’off button 🤣)
Quick call to sky on Sunday afternoon and a new remote received today.

Reset the remote
Press 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds (This resets/clears the remote)
Press 1 and 3 together for three seconds (bluetooth mode) and follow any on-screen instructions.
The next option sounds insane but a number of users have reported it resolving the issue with their remotes. You could try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a towel.
You can't also try removing the batteries from the remote overnight, which has solved some peoples issues in the past.
