Hi
I recently recieved my sky puck and all seems great so far. The only problem I have is that it just doesn't turn the Samsung TV off when I put it into Standy. It turns it on (from standy) , volume control is fine but just won't turn it off. The pucks goes in to standy but then I just get the "No signal HDMI1" message on the tv. I have an Amazon Fire stick in the same TV and that turns it off/on absolutely fine, I actually have to use that to turn the TV off once I've put the puck to sleep. Just a little annoying, is there anything I can try? Checked all settings on TV and they are set to use HDMI CEC etc and the Amazon sticks ok.

Hi @Tim+Adams
Thanks for you reply above
I am having exactly the same problem as @LJONESYUK
Just got my puck today and everything is going well in set up apart from turning off. Single press of the off button on Sky remote initially turns the tv off (Samsung UE40D7000) but then a floating error comes up "No signal: check connected device's power, cable connection, and source selection.
Have tried a long hold of the off button as you suggest but then nothing happens at all.. the sky screen just stays on.
Please can you help?
Many thanks

Thanks @Deedee36 for your prompt reply
I'm a bit confused however..
I don't have speakers to connect so don't want to go through this stage.. I've jsut tried but as I don't have a any I have to stop at that stage.
also are u meaning that when I am pressing my volume button and see it being mirrored on tv I simultaneously do a long press of sky off button? I've tried this and nothing has changed. I can still turnm off the tv with one short press of remote but the HDMI error message still pops up.
any thoughts?
thanks
many thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@beano5892 the one press is turning of the puck hence the hdmi message.Did you unpair your remote and try to setup again

Yup.. completely reset the handset but the same thing is happening.
Understand the message meaning that hdmi is not switching off, only the puck.. just don't know how to get the long press to work that @Tim+Adams @suggested in his reply. A long press literally has no effect; it doesn't turn the screen off or the puck

This doesn't work but the volume does

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Sky+Platinum this has been reported before znd has been sorted by repairing the remote to the TV brand and choosing a different code - seems to happen with some LG sets the first code controls volume but not power but by rejecting that a different code controlled both.

How do I change the code, it was set up during initial setup ?

Yes - scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click settings > connected devices. For my LG TV I had to go past option 3 (which only worked for sound but didn't turn off the tv on a long press) and choose option 4 (which did both).

Thank you. Sorted 😉

Hi
I'm having this same issue with my Sony TV. It worked before but now it doesn't turn off the TV. I've re-paired the TV about 10 times (none of the 32 options work but the volume works when I get the option to search for the model of TV)
After that I still can't turn the TV off with a "long press" of the power button.
When I go to Settings, Connected Devices the only thing that shows up is my remote. What am I doing wrong? Can this be solved?
I have 5 pucks in the house and the other 4 work fine, just this one I can't use my paired remote to power on/off my Tab anymore
