QS024: Please wait for your programme to load / Stutters in and out of ad-breaks

We have 4 Sky Stream pucks since November. 

 

Since they've all updated to QS024 sometime earlier this month we are very regularly finding:

(1) While watching live TV, the screen will go black and it will then display "Please wait for your programme to load" for 10-15 seconds before resuming as normal. Happens maybe every 2-3 hours. 

(2) When channel hopping, you will often land on a channel and it will refuse to display anything other than the above message. If you go back to the previous channel, or move on to the next channel, it will load those fine, but that channel will not load. 

(3) On several occasions, the puck stops responding, then the screen goes black for about 20 seconds, then the colour bar and sweep appears and it drops you back to the homescreen as if you had just turned the puck on. (Hard crash and reboot?)

(4) Going into and out of ad-breaks on both sky and third party channels both the audio and video stutters for about a second every single time. Notwithstanding (1) above, the stream is perfect during the main programme and during the ad-break itself but the junction in and out stutters every time. 

 

As it's happening on more than 1 puck I imagine it is not a hardware fault. Nor is it internet - especially as with (2) since you would think it wouldn't load any channel at all as opposed to refusing to load a particular one but it will happily stream the channels either side.

 

Anyone finding similar? Pucks worked flawlessly since we got it in November up until early this month ( I'd the darts on the UHD channel for hours on end without a single hiccup ).

This thread is over a year old and referrs to a version of software that is no longer relevant.

 

If you are having issues I would recommend starting a new thread and providing as much detail as possible and the community will.do it's best to assist.
