Puck not loading just stuck on updating but won’t allow me connect to wifi

When plugged my stream puck in , doesn't give me away to go to settings to add WiFi, n says I connected then says needs update but won't do anything else . Have turned off and left for short period n then switched back on n same thing

Use an ethernet cable to connect to your router, just to get it to complete the software update. Stream pucks can be temperamental little blighters on WiFi when being initially set up.

My router is in a utility cupboard, so not near tv n puck,  but I know that signal strong enough to front room, but I can't get into add details off WiFi on box. And puck doesn't even show sky logo when loading I.

A router in a utility cupboard is a big no-no. The  Stream puck needs a consistent stable connection, adding walls does not help.
