Poor Sky TV Quality. Lagging/pixelating and having to re-start puck every time

I am consistently having issues with picture quality, particularly on Sky Sports.  The picture is pixelating and lagging a lot and I am having to restart the Sky puck everyday.  The puck is connected by WiFi but is in the same room as the router (I can't get an Ethernet cable to be out of sight).

After paying for Sky Sports and 300mb/s speed I wouldn't expect to have such poor quality viewing.  Are there any solutions as this is very frustrating.

@TH4rt Is the puck out in the open? If for example yhe puck is hidden behind axwall mounted TV that would explain the issue as would if the hub is under other equipment. You should hsve no issues if both units are out in the open.

It's in a tv unit on a shelf that is open at the front but covered on all other sides.

Thanks

This may well be the cause of your issues.

Sky Stream pucks have a small WiFi antenna which don't cope well with WiFi signals which fluctuate or are susceptible to interference.

Have you done a speed test on the Netflix app to see what broadband speed is actually being received by your puck? Run a network check from the get help menu on the Netflix app and see what speed is reported.

Ideally your puck should be on an open shelf, or connected via an ethernet cable and WiFi switched off. This can often help solve issues.

I've moved the puck now. Netflix speed check is giving 290 mb/s.

Hopefully that will sort it
