Of possible interest to Eero mesh users with Sky Stream connection issues (a fix, for me at least)
Like many other posters on this forum, I have been having long term issues with Sky Stream - wait while your program loads, you do not appear to be connected to Wifi, buffering etc etc. Recently, turning on the second puck while the forst one is already in use would cause either the first one to immediately start buffering or the second one to fail to connect at startup. We have a rock solid 600mbps fibre connection, so it made no sense (to me, but what do I know...)
Endless calls to Sky support, my ISP and to Eero had previously failed to identify the issue, until the other day when I spoke to Sky again. This time, they identified issues with packet loss. The logs show that these issues are often followed by a reset of the puck. OK, not definitive, but I at least had somewhere to start.
I phoned Eero again. I explained I had two Stream pucks, both currently connected via ethernet (one directly to the main Eero unit - itself connected to the fibre cable, the other connected to a second Eero in the mesh system). To cut a long story short, their tech support applied the following changes to my Eero settings, which appear to have completely solved all my issues with Stream.
1. Disabled Smart Queue Management (which intelligently shapes how traffic is queued and can limit bandwidth to some devices). I don't remember activating this in the first place...
2. Set up IP reservations for the Stream pucks.
If the issues I was having sound familiar, and you use Eero hardware, it might be worth a call to Eero support (assuming you don't fancy applying the changes yourself). Worth a try, at least.
The above changes were applied four days ago. Since then, the pucks connect first time, every time (what a joy!). There has been no buffering, no error messages or other problems to report. Four days isn't long, I know, so if things should change for the worse, I'll update this thread to let you know.
When I explained to the Eero tech guy that absolutely all of my other wireless devices (there are six of us in the house, so there are many of them) worked perfectly and that I couldn't understand why the Stream pucks were alone in being problematic, he explained that it could well be a simple setting on the router that needed changing. He was right.
No guarantees, of course, but I do hope the above proves useful to others.
The changes were applied four days ago, and since then no problems at all.

Apologies for the formatting and other assorted errors in my original post. I have looked for amenas to edit it, but that doesn't seem to be an option?
