Number button can not be used to select favorites fom outside live TV

I am trying to make sky stream easier for my elderly mother in law. Using favourites I can tel her to just hold doe the 1 or 2 o 3 butons for certain channels. But that only works if she is already watching live TV. The home screen is  way way too complex for 90 year old, and she has been using voice control with limited results. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the Sky Stream to play live TV ( ideally alway at the same channel) when it is turned on. Or an easy way to get to favourite channel 1 fom anywhere in the vast set of menus and sub-menus. I get it that voice is probably the  right answer but for people who have been using buttons to watch TV for 50 years, it is a difficult transition.

This isn't possible unfortunately but I agree it would be a sensible addition.

When it is first switched on, pressing left and select takes you to the last channel you watched. Would this not work?

The easiest way is to tell your mother-in-law to press left from the home tike as thst will show a tile for the last thing she was watching . Pressing further left gives a series on last watched channels, titles or apps as appropriate. Just select the one she wants to watch next. There are around 6 slots saved but the last viewed is always the first you come to.
