Hello, I went into my Sky account today as I realised from my latest bank statement that I was being charged more than just the usual monthly charge.
It seems from the invoice due information I was invoiced for Sky Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos - 30 days and Ad skipping. I would like to know why I am being charged for these additional features when as we have an old tv, I would not have purchased the Ultra HD option and pretty sure I never signed up for the Ad Free version either.
I also have another query, when I was looking at my Sky Account to ascertain what has been added to my bill in earlier months, I am unable to view my previous charges as I have a messsage that says 0.00 charges as I don't have a subscription. Could you please fix this so I can see my earlier bills.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky doesn't know how old your TV is. Some services are added by default, but you're able to deselect them at point of sale. Sky provide confirmation by email or letter what you've signed up to.

It's possible you were given free trials of UHD/Atmos and ad-skipping when you signed up. It should have been made clear that these would automatically become chargeable at the end of the free period.

Thank you for your comment.
However, I am aware Sky doesn't know how old my tv is. I have had a contract for Sky Stream since 2022 which at that time was £28 per month and only significantly changed a few months ago. My query is I was unaware Sky had changed my contract as I did not receive any notification from them and even if they did send me an email and it went unread into my spam box, my account does not let me view a breakdown of my monthly charges as it states all my invoices have totalled £0.00 which is of course incorrect so I have no way of knowing what I have been charged for.

Thanks. Yes, this may well be he case but we've had Sky Stream for so long, I may well have forgotten I had these free add-ons when we signed up and as I've already stated, I can't get to see a breakdown on any of my previous invoices to know what my package was.

Email or call Sky and discuss it with them is your best option to a resolution.

Ad skipping and ultra HD are both regularly available for free for 2 months via my sky app. I have never paid for either, I just cancel and then take another free 2 month offer. The same applies for the kids pack if required

However it won't stay that way for long if you keep bringing It to Sky's attention and advertising it.

@Dazzasky I think a company like sky will be well aware. We don't have to worry about my post on a message board being the catalyst for company change in policy. I may be wrong
