Just watched a fairly new film (Operation Mincemeat) Sky Cinema UHD version and was surprised that no subtitles available. Afterwards checked the HD version of same film and it does have subtitles. Checked another few films and found the same - HD version has subtitles but UHD versions don't. Seems strange. Does anyone know if this is a fault or a feature? ( ...Sky Stream.)

Historically that's always been the case with Sky UHD films, and it's really annoying.

This is insanity and pretty disgusting in 2024, still no subtitles on UHD content!! Every other provider can manage it and it's on the HD version of the same programmes, it must be a trivial task to "port" the subtitles to the uhd content!

This is the best you'll get. Pathetic really.

UPDATE:
Sky are now saying subtitles will be available on all their UHD on demand content by the end of the summer with the arrival of Entertainment OS 1.3:

Just noticed that subtitles are now available. Don't know when they started

@vanmunchen they probably started with the 1.3 OS update that's been rolling out.

Yes, I noticed that too. Not sure if all UHD programmes but not noticed anything missing so far.
