Hi all,
I have a PHILIPS 65OLED707/12 65" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV. I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 also and a Sky Stream Puck.
i pay for UHD and Dolby Atmos in my subscriptions. For some reason, I do not get Dolby Atmos content through my soundbar when streaming compatible programmes such as TLOU.
all settings are correct - if I change my tv settings to play through the tv instead of the soundbar, the Dolby atmos works fine but when connecting via sound bar the atmos is not present.
when using the apps native to the tv and not using the stream puck I receive Atmos content.
the stream hdmi is connecting to HDMI 3 ARC port and the beam gen 2 is connected to the HDMI 2 EARC 4k 120hz port.
can someone guide me what am I doing wrong here?! Thanks

Fixed it.
seems the setting on the TV was causing the problem. Digital Audio Format was set to Multichannel (bypass). Switching this to just multi channel seemed to do the trick.
No idea what the difference is?

Re: No Dolby Atmos via soundbar
Have you tried the puck on HDMI 1 on the TV? This is a full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 port and will allow maximum bandwidth passthrough.
Set the audio output on the puck to Passthrough and the same on the TV's HDMI audio settings.
Also make sure you're using a high speed HDMI cable between the puck and the TV, such as the one which came with the puck.

Re: No Dolby Atmos via soundbar
having flicked through the manual for your TV at https://www.documents.philips.com/assets/20230220/752b68926e1b41afb0d0afaf011c36cc.pdf specifically page 29 which relates to the ARC/eARC capabilities of the HDMI ports, @Mister_Dalek suggestions are spot on.
Having the Sonos Beam on HDMI 2 is definitely right and setting the Stream's audio output to passthrough (rather than Dolby Digital+) should cut down on the device handshaking negotiating that Atmos isn't available for some reason.
Might be worth checking that your TV's software/firmware is up to date (page 84 of the manual) in case any bugs or incompatbilities relating to HDMI handshaking/ARC/eARC passthroughhave been fixed.

Re: No Dolby Atmos via soundbar
Hi all thanks for your comments. @Mister_Dalek
ive replaced the hdmi cable from the puck into the hdmi 1 port that was previously reserved for my Xbox Series X. Nevertheless, i have switched the audio on the tv to Multichannel (bypass) and the sky stream to pass through.
I've also ensured software is up to date. Using the HDMI that was sent with the sky puck and the Sonos beam 2. Both of which send/receive Dolby Atmos in their own capacities as proven with native apps via the soundbar and when I disconnect the soundbar from the sky stream.
stuck!!

Re: No Dolby Atmos via soundbar
99.9% sure the cables I have are 2.1 certified but I'll buy some more to be sure and update.
