New to Sky & having volume control display issues with Panasonic TV & soundbar

I have a Panasonic Viera TV - TX-50DX700B and a Panasonic Home Theatre soundbar SC-HTB885 and these are Viera linked with an HDMI cable connecting HDMI(ARC) to both units.  Everything works fine and if I use the TV remote to change volume it changes the soundbar and a display comes up on screen to show the volume level.

However when I use the Sky remote that came with the puck, while it works and shows the volume setting on the soundbar nothing appears on sceen.  It does change the volume, but from where I watch the TV I can't see the soundbar display so it would be really useful to see it on screen.

I tried re-pairing the Sky remote and there are 41 Panasonic settings available.  Does anyone know if one of those settings will control the soundbar & display the volume on screen.  Any help much appreciated.  Picture quality is great BTW & I'm pleased with the puck overall.

@Padam_Padam Thanks for that.  I disconnected the soundbar from the TV and switched Viera Link off, rebooted everything and tried again with just the TV.  However, having run through all the 41 settings and then entering Panasonic as the name of the TV and trying another 23 settings I can't get the Sky remote to control the TV volume.

I find that amazing, because it's not an old TV - maybe 6 years or so.  The TV is a TX-50DX700B.  I'll have to write directly to Panasonic to see if there's a code I can put in or something similar - any other ideas?

The DX700 is a 2016 model so it is getting on a bit, but still frustrating that you can't control it!

One other thing to try is the Vestel brand. Panasonic used to use them to produce some of their older LCD models in Europe, then stopped but have recently been using them again for some of their cheaper LCDs. Vestel also make TVs for Toshiba and JVC amongst others so it's worthwhile trying some of those codes to see if it works.

Try re-pairing the remote to the TV, not to the soundbar. If you get it to control the TV then it should automatically control the soundbar if it's connected correctly via ARC. The on-screen display should also then appear once you have the correct Panasonic TV setting. It'll probably be trial and error until you find the correct one though.
