As a new sky customer I was supposed to have sky q box installed but when they came to install they said couldn't have it because of the type of my property so said sky stream would be installed instead and someone would contact me in a couple of days it has been a week and I have heard nothing. Will someone be in contact as I currently have no streaming services because of this?

Hi @Sylvia42
Your not speaking to Sky. This is a public customer helps customer forum. We don't have access to your account and Sky won't respond of the back of a post. You will need to speak to Sky customer service.
See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/contacting-sky and scroll down to need more help. You will see a contact number for Sky.
It's likely that the engineer put a 'sales lead' in on their system, and is odd that Sky haven't called, but if you speak to someone they will advise what's happening closing down the Q order etc. the good news is pucks normally arrive next day and self install so should get you up and running pretty quick.

I'm afraid that was probably rather misleading of them: Stream wouldn't be automatically despatched after a failed Q installation. As @mikealanr indicates, a separate sales process would be required because it's a different product and contract.
