Netflix buffering midway through film
I have a Sky Stream upstairs connected to a router downstairs, wirelessly. I experience regular buffering problems with Netflix and Disney, for example. Would it be better to move the router upstairs (by using a longer cable from wall connection to the router) or leave the router where it is and connect the router to the Stream puck with a longer Ethernet cable?

Re: Netflix buffering midway through film
@Marcus+cash another option, which saves you moving the router or having a long ethernet cable trailing through the house is to purchase powerline adapters. You can buy from Amazon for abut £40-50, these basically be provide your network connection via your electricity. A powerline adapter is a device you plug in, one goes near your router and you plug an ethernet cable from the router to it, the second gets plugged in by the stream and you then connect the stream to it via an ethernet cable.
If you do go through the ethernet route, its worth ensuring you disabling the Wifi on the stream puck, otherwise it has the tendency to switch back over to Wifi if its enabled for some reason. You may find you need to reboot the sky stream by unplugging it for a couple of minutes once you disable the wifi to ensure it successful picks up you have switched from wifi to ethernet.
Moving your router from downstairs to upstairs could inpact the wifi signal you currently get around the house, particularly downstairs. However certainly something that can be tried.
