My sky stream box has a poor signal but us connected to the router.

I've done a wifi check and its saying everything is good but theirs big pauses in watching live sport which makes it unwatchable. Its been like this from the begining. I've looked on my sky app and can see that all the devices thats connected to the wifi are good but theirs ab issue with thr sky stream box but theirs no info on how to rectyfi it.

You need to check the actual speed being received by the puck. To find out what this is open the Netflix app on the puck, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check. Report back here with the resulting speed.
