My remote control won’t turn on sky. I have done all the advice plugging out tv, sky stream etc and

Remote that was working yesterday is not working today. Put in new batteries, tried pressing 7 and 9 together and the 1 and three together and still not working. Turned everything connected to tv off and turned after 3 minutes, still not working. Tried pointing remote and pressing button and no red light. I need a new remote.

The remote can be reset and paired again following these steps;
1. Press and hold 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds.
2. Press and hold 4 and 6 together for three seconds.
3. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for three seconds and follow the on-screen instructions.

I would also try another set of batteries 

you can turn on the puck by pressing the standby button underneath although you won't be able to navigate around the screen

many moons ago ! Some users found they could get a defective remote working again by gently twisting the remote in opposite directions (like wringing a cloth)

Tried new batteries, puck won't turn off when pressing the button underneath. Tried pressing 7&9 together on remote for 3 secs then 4&6 then 1&9 still no joy. Tv will come on with TV remote but sky remote not working at all I.e. nothing on the TV screen.

Also tried wringing the remote control - no joy. Lights are on Virgin media WiFi and that's working but sky remote not working 😟
