Movin' too fast...why is my picture so fast?
I have recently bought Sky Strean with UHD, however although the sound is fine the picture seems to be at 1.5 speed, I am currently watching the Lions rugby match on Playlist and it looks like the players are on speed. I feel a bit queasy watching it. Watchimg a chat show is fine but anything with movement, the picture is too fast and I feel like I may be sick. My TV is an LG and supports UHD. My Trumotion is turned off. Please someone help before I thrie up on my sofa, cheers.

@Redjbourne4 Hi. I guess the first thing to try is to do a hard reset by unplugging the puck from the power source, leave it for a minute or so and turn back on. This often sorts out this sort of problem. If you have tried that or you try it and it's no better come back and let us know.

To confirm it isn't an optical illusion, does the on screen clock run fast?

@Redjbourne4 I think it was a reference to the match clock that's usually on the screen with the match score.

Make sure LG's TruMotion feature is turned off. This doesn't actually make things faster but it can look that way by making the picture so smooth. Films and dramas start to look like live programmes.

Ah ok no the clock is fine moving at a normal pace, which makes the whole thing weirder

Is this some dodgy 60 to 50Hz conversion thing going on for Aus content?

Thanks for eveyone's inout so far but no joy, I've tried a hard reset and i've turned all the TV settings like Trumotion off, picture is still moving too quickly, dunno whether to just throw it all in the bin and take up knitting.

Re: Movin' too fast...why is my picture so fast?
Hiya, I've tried the hard reset and it's not really made a difference, picture is fine when it's the news and someone is sat still, as soon as there's movement it looks unnatural, people move like AI robots like the fast forward is at 1.5x times. TV picture mode is on standard, Trumotion, Super Resolution, Noise Reduction and Smooth Graduation all switched off.

@Redjbourne4 This is a real head scratcher. It is trying to decide if it is a Sky problem or your tv settings. Have you tried watching something on your tv without going via Stream? If that is working ok then it must be a Sky issue. Have you rang them? They may send out a replacement.
On the plus side my wife has some knitting patterns we can send you! 😁

We have an older upstairs TV with stream and the issue isn't as bad but still noticeable. Any ideas what the best number to call sky on is? I end up down a rabbit hole trying to work it out.

Re: Movin' too fast...why is my picture so fast?
Are you watching in UHD? I saw this sometimes when I first selected a UHD channel - its like your video is catching up with the audio at high speed for a few seconds. I did see it occasionally throughout after this too.
I guess one thing you can do is watch the HD version of the channel to see if the behaviour is the same?
I bought a new router recently and I've not seen this since.
