Movies added to playlist only on Sky Store

Hi there.

Its taken ALOT of training for my elderly mother to use Sky Steam - she was ultra impressed when she added an old movie to her playlist (it was a movie on Great! Action) when she passed the + button it came up that it would record (in the cloud)

But it never did, it just takes her to a page to buy it on Sky Store.

This isn't ideal one bit Does this happen often!?

Hi @bluecandylover

It is likely that Great! Has the broadcast rights but not the on demand rights to the movie. This is one of the issues with streaming Vs recording.

Sometimes there will be a button under the content which says play on xx with the other service lister if available via more than one source.

Just to add to the good advice offered by @mikealanr - the "Play on xxx" button typically appears under a heading called Available Now, if you scroll down to that ( if it exists when you open the film or TV show on the playlist) those "Play on xxx" buttons should become visible and you will see one option per catch-up service that particular programme/film is available on.
