Sky stream freezing all morning, ran Speedtest on Netflix, which is showing 218
restarted puck, made no difference
removed power source for around half an hour and re connected, made no difference
checked device errors on my sky account and states no errors, when clearly there is
this has been intermittent for a few weeks now, where I have either turned to Freeview or Apple TV,
i went on to sky go and same problem there with live tv and app slow at loading, so obviously an issue with sky, as it's not just the puck, sky needs to check it's servers, when customers checking there devices online

Plus sky website is extremely slow, much slower than normal, which kind of tells me, there is an issue with sky servers
i accept that streaming tv will have glitches from time to time, however I would expect sky to regularly test it's servers for issues

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSounds like your internet connection is having local network connection issues.
Who is your isp?
Would suggest rebooting your broadband router, and then restarting your other devices like Pucks, PCs, tablets/phones.
Best way to restart the Pucks, rather than removing power is the restart in settings;
Would suggest trying a restart of your Sky Stream box
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Thank you for your reply, I tried resetting first with no joy, internet on other devices are fine, however, I rebooted the modem and the Eero's still freezing
will try again later

If it were Sky servers everybody would be having the same issue and the forum would be considerably busier than it is.

It's nothing to do with any of our ISP's, the issues are with the puck and for Sky to sort.

That might be the case for you, though I'm not sure there's any evidence one way or the other. But despite your repetition, it certainly doesn't mean it's the same for everyone having difficulty.

I think you need to see @Mark39 how many others have been having problems on several other posts. The issue is it doesnt help that Sky keep pointing the blame onto the ISP and the network. There needs to be more accountability and responsibility coming from Sky and enhanced improvments from the puck

Other customers (the majority, I imagine) using the same hardware and software aren't having these issues.
IF Sky are pointing at ISPs, perhaps that's what their investigations so far have demonstrated. That could conceivably mean some tweaks to the Puck software might be needed to accommodate them - but that's just me speculating.

The number having network issues, like you, are fairly small compared to.the number of Sky puck customers that have very minor or no issues🤔

So you believe 100,000s or even millions of Sky Stream customers are having the same issues as you?
I have access to 3 independent Sky Stream setups which have no or only very minor issues😉
