I can not stress this enough. Do not switch from Sky q to Stream/Glass.
We all know Sky is phasing out the dishes and would prefer all their customers on full streaming service, it's simply cheaper for them. However this is completely compromising the service you get from Sky.
I'm thankful I haven't made the change yet but some friends and family members have, everyone of them regrets it. Mainly for the lack of ability to record and their frustrations trying to find the programmes on a relevant streaming service.
Other complaints have been for poor picture quality from streaming, bbc iPlayer is a particular issue. Especially if the internet speed slows.
Missing the start of a programme and not being able to stream it is also causing frustration. Where as simply recording it to watch later is a simple solution.
Personally feel Sky have gone to far and missed some of the best things about Q and why so many people want to stay with it.
All of these issues and I haven't mentioned what happens when your internet doesn't work.
STAY WITH SKY Q!!

@Mr+Stebbings "it can do everything streaming does plus it records"
It doesn't do a recording (Playlist) for each person. A major consideration for me.

I am a sky customer for 15 years decided to switch over to Sky stream too many problems with it at the moment it is a good invention I'm sure down the road when they phase it out but it definitely needs improvements. Delighted to get back on to Sky q. For me the lip syncing was a nuisance Stalling in the middle of programs programs. I think it's still in the prototype stage if you ask me. It was straightforward to switch back to Sky q and get our money refunded for Sky stream we gave it a go but I wouldn't like it

I also gave sky stream a go. Had it about 1 month and had nothing but problems. Manly the pixelation issues that are still ongoing for many on here, also I saw the problems last week about the outage issues. So glad I went back to sky q 2 weeks ago. Everything been perfect since then even the sky sports + streams have been excellent , no lagging freezes or jumping .
Sky really do need to get these streaming issues sorted because 2028 is only 4 years away and I can see many wanting to stay with Sky Q the way things are at the moment .

@Philip41 It's strange but I am not having these problems that you and others speak about, I am finding it quite stable. I do agree however that it is in need of improvement in its functionality especially the Playlist.

When I was actually saying phasing out I mean when they phase out Sky Q obviously sky stream will have to be ten times better then, but that's not till 2028.

out of interest, for those of you who have just finished a contract with sky q, what price did you manage to negotiate?

Sky's pricing is entirely variable. It depends entirely on who you speak to and what packages you want to add.
There are many threads on various forums with details of the prices customers have managed to negotiate. Some recent Sky Q examples are:
Signature, Sky Cinema, HD, UHD & Netflix Premium for £46pm on a 24 month contract.
Or
Signature, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, HD, UHD & Netflix Standard with ads for £54pm on a 24 month contract
Or
Signature, HD, UHD, Cinema, Sports and Netflix Premium for £64.50pm on a 24 month contract.
Some of these deals seem to be dependent on whether you have broadband with Sky too.

Thanks
I called to cancel after they had increased my monthly price by 50% in the last year since i was out of contract. they persuaded me to stay by giving me a third off. I have sky signature, netflix and superfast broadband (65mbps) on qbox and they are now charging me £59 which seems ok. I was going to move to BT who were offering the same for about £53 but read so many bad reviews i decided to stay put for now.
