I have just joined Sky and my pictures keep freezing

I have just opened my account with Sky and am very disappointed that pictures keep freezing.

Do you have sufficient broadband speed to allow the service to function? It's pointless having it if you don't.

You can test your speed by doing this, please reply to this thread with your speed. 

  1. Open the Netflix app on Sky.
  2. Go to Get Help in the sidebar.
  3. Select Check Your Network.
  4. Note the download speed displayed.

That's a very good speed, so shouldn't be the issue. Fluctuations may still happen, but that doesn't seem super likely to me, but to rule it out is it feasibly for you to use Ethernet instead of WiFi?

Does the freezing happen just on live TV or does it also happen on iPlayer, ITVX, Netflix etc. also?
