Thank you, but recording the wrong channel needs fixing.
I hope Sky support can pick this up.
Regards Anne

Gosh, you think recording the wrong channel is normal.
I do not.
I hope Sky fix this.

Feel free to report it to Sky, if you think there's an issue. They're unlikely to pick it up from here.

May I suggest that your use of the word 'recording' is not quite correct in regard to Sky Stream.
When you press the red + button on the Sky Stream remote, you are not setting a recording of a programme in the way you perhaps used to do on a different service. The + button on Sky Stream merely adds a programme title to a playlist, basically a list of programmes you would like to watch later. It is not storing an individual 'recording' of that programme on a hard drive anywhere, it is merely keeping a log of the programme title you want to watch.
All of this programme information is supplied to Sky by the individual broadcasters/streaming services. Occassionally this information isn't complete or has small errors in it. This can and will affect your ability to watch something at a later date but is unfortunately out of your control. Alerting Sky to the error can make them contact the original broadcaster/streamer and get the error corrected.
In the case of BBC programmes, if you don't watch via the live channel streams then all of their available programmes will play back on demand from the iPlayer app, not from a 'recording'.
Similarly, playlisted ITV programmes will play back from the ITVX app, Channel 4 from the Channel 4 app, etc.
Live broadcast rights are different to streaming on demand rights, so some content can only be watched live when broadcast or streamed on a live channel stream. Some content may only be able to be viewed on demand later via a subscription service.

It hasn't recorded the wrong channel as Sky Stream doesn't record. The programme you want to watch is on iPlayer. If you search for it you will find it or go to iPlayer and search for it. It's also available on Sky Store for purchase which is why your Playlist (not a recording) is directing you there instead.

I recorded a King Richard Tenis program on BBC2 and Sky Stream recorded the King Richard film on Sky Cinama...that is wrong as it accepted the recording request. It needs fixing by Sky Stream and not to record the wrong channel.

@Annetempest11 You need to stop repeating the same incorrect statement. The solution to your issue has been given as has your lack of understanding as to how Sky Stream works.
The King Richard film on Sky Store (not Sky Cinema as far as I can tell) is the same tennis documentary that you are wanting to watch. It's your choice whether you watch via Sky Store (at a cost) or via iPlayer (for free)

It's not recording any channel. Sky Stream cannot and does not record.
The 'recording request' as you put it, is not a request to make a recording, it just you adding a programme title to a list of programmes you'd like to watch later.
Sky Stream is telling you that there is a film titled King Richard available on Sky Cinema. If you look on the iPlayer app, you'll see that the same film is available to stream on there. No recording is taking place.

Clearly I have been able to record the selected program for 25 years, on the correct channel too.
Because you had a device with a local hard drive which captured content from a satellite broadcast. Sky Stream does not do so, and the 'Playlist' isn't a replacement for this. Unfortunately that's fundamental to the system design and not something Sky can 'fix'.
