Re: Freely - will this impact Glass and Sky Stream

@Exiled-in-HH @Doesn't change the fact that Freeview/Freesat are now one company. I think we have exhausted this one, the company website states there was a merger. I am leaving this one now. Have a good afternoon

@Jason+Golding you need understand the difference between a company and a service.

Re: Freely - will this impact Glass and Sky Stream

Hi guys, back on topic 😁 A friend of mine at TCL has said that Everyone TV are meeting with all TV manufacturers that have a presence in the UK, with a view to them including a 4K "Freely'  tuner (Internet Based)  in there sets from mid 2024, this would replace the current Freeview tuner in present UK TV's

If the service is only going to be available initially on brand new TV's, do we think that an App, or Freely set top box will be available for people that are still buying Freeview TV's, as these people will not be upgrading to a new TV for many years to come!

Re: Freely - will this impact Glass and Sky Stream

@Freddieboy69 it won't replace the Freeview terrestrial tuner - it will add the IPTV freely functionality. I think that there could well be an app plus a freely box upon launch. Freeview terrestrial tuner will be included in TV's for at least another 12 years to around 2035

Freesat and Freeview are the same company.(Everyone TV) owned by the BBC, ITV, CH4, 5

Now Tv app is available with both. If Sky allow BT to integrate NOW Tv sky channels on their EPG, why not Freely? Only time will tell

Never going to happen !

That's a very bold statement.

Re: Freely - will this impact Glass and Sky Stream

The objective will be for devices to have both DTT and DSat tuners which is currently the case with the best quality TVs, and use Everyone controlled epgs. Then IP delivered channels can also be listed on the common epg?

Already the case for LG. TVs.... just need Samsung and Sony to fall inline?
