First time removal of stream remote cover

Can anyone please help I have the small sky stream remote how the dickens do I get the cover off? Not sure why it's so difficult ? Come on sky why make it so tricky ? There is an arrow pointing down but nothing is moving am I pushing or trying to lift somehow ? But there is nothing to leverage it open ? Nightmare !!!

There are numerous topics on this if you search the forum.

 

The back slides in the direction of the arrow, but only by a few mm

It is very stiff, especially if a piece of the paper that is pulled to activate has become stuck.

Put on a pair of rubber gloves for grip, press together and slide.

 

Job done.

 

Edit : DO NOT TRY TO LEVER IT OPEN
