Re: Does Sky listen to its customers?
Sky Stream devices can record to the cloud but with considerable restrictions .... imposed by the content creators🤔
The days of almost unrestricted recording to HDDs have ended😉

Re: Does Sky listen to its customers?
@Exiled-in-HH Absolutely not, what I am claiming is that it isn't the only reason for awful streams
The service is poor, it has numerous faults, it's not robust enough for what it is and needs serious work
Answering every query with " it must be your internet" is just not correct, even Sky have acknowledged there is a fault with the streams so why can't forum Gaslighters do the same
Your beloved Sky have accepted there are issues, it's time you lot did the same

What issue do you believe Sky has acknowledged?
No-one here suggests Stream is without issues in all circumstances: that would be silly. Some of us routinely criticise Sky products and services in many respects (particularly Glass television)
The fact remains that the single biggest point of pain with Stream remains its interaction with domestic WiFi, as demonstrated in the forum for nearly three years.

It can be the internet connection for some ISPs ... BUT it is frequently the wifi connection for others.... while many have little or no internet connection issues😉

Re: Does Sky listen to its customers?
Apart from the UHD Atmos glitch that has been acknowledged, our Sky Stream over multiple Pucks had been faultless. We think it's a pretty great product but we are in a location with great internet coverage and while the WiFi drops in certain places on the house, it's goes from 500mbps to around 200mbps in the worst part of the house which is the bathroom upstairs . So no complaints really.

@Nigelb1972 I have a similar experience to you. I am lucky enough to live in an area that has fast but more importantly stable broadband.
I appeciate it is not the case for everyone but in general the more stable the broadband the less problematic Stream seems to be.
If my post has solved your issue please mark as an "Answer" as it helps others identify the solution

Re: Does Sky listen to its customers?
Simple answer no.
Most of its customer service agents stick to the same script, "It's not a known issue" and "You ard the only one" are their favourite catchphrases. Looking at these forums and elsewhere I can clearly see neither of those 2 things are true in many cases. Sky don't listen to their customers in my experience. Others may take a different view. This is mine.

Re: Does Sky listen to its customers?
@TimmyBGood The pixelation issue for a start, I have no interest whatsoever in the biggest pain, my interest is that people come here and complain of say pixelation and the immediate response is " it must be your internet"
When in truth the pixelation issue is well know and a fault of Sky not anyone's internet
Lord forbid people actually mention the utter failure that Sky stream is and don't even get me started on sky sports plus
Nobody is having a faultless stream experience, it's just not happening , unless Sky are serving you with a completely separate stream on a completely different server you're talking rubbish

Re: Does Sky listen to its customers?
If anyone isn't happy with sky stream/glass you are able to leave penalty free within contract. If the pixelated screen is real issue, vote with your feet and leave. Phone sky and ask to be set free of your contract. Simple's

Exactly this.
I cancelled Stream several months ago now. No regrets whatsoever. Don't miss a single thing about Sky. There are plenty of alternative options in the streaming TV world.
