DPD have delivered by parcel to someone else before the date expected

DPD text to say they would be delivering the pacel 12/01/2024 i requested to delay this as advised by yoursleves to the 17/01/24. I then got a notification to say it had been changed? ive recieved no text yet to say what time it will be delivered today and have just seen on DPD that they have delivered the parcel on the 12/01/24 to someone elses house and taken a picture of someone else holding the parcel?

Where is our box ? If they offer to delay the delivery and it was approved why did they do this? Seriously we have had a month without sky and now this delay. Another box needs to be sent to my house today!

@Tayla8  You're not talking to Sky via the forum, we are also customers here, no  one here can tell you where your box is, what have DPD said when you contacted them?

No one can be expected to answer the questions you raised as no one could possibly read the delivery drivers mind, you won't get Sky to deliver a new box today, that is simply unrealistic.

You may be lucky and the recipient may bring the box to your address when thye realise the error.

If DPD won't help you'll need to call Sky.

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Indeed the DPD delivery driver will had to have asked for the name of the person who accepted the delivery. Whats strange is that, in my experience, they have always confirmed that is the name on the actual parcel before leaving it. I also taken parcels for my neighbours from DPD and again they always asked for my name and made a note of house number so they can record where they delivered it.

Is it possible the wrong postcode was used when the order was submitted, perhaps thats the reason its been delivered to somewhere else. If you missed the delivery DPD nearly always leave a card to say where your parcel is.
