Cost of new puck

I think that sky whole home is good value but the fact they ask for £39.95 for one additional puck is disgraceful. I spoke to agent who agreed that it's not good customer service, you literally plug it in and it's on! Why £39.95?!?! Just to switch something on!! Has anyone else raised this and had the fee waived?? Thankyou

Sometimes they have offers where they waive the £39.95 fee when you take out Whole Home for the first additional puck you order.

The first additional puck you get when you add Whole Home is normally 'free' but any additional ones after that usually have the activation fee attached.

£39.95 is particularly galling when you realise that Sky initially sold, not loaned, the Stream pucks to customers for £20, meaning that customers could legitimately sell them if so wished when their contract was over. Interestingly there are increasing numbers of Stream pucks on eBay, most of which I imagine are actually owned by Sky...

Hi @Supermac0151 When I got Glass about 3 years ago I declined a free puck as I only had 1 TV at that time.  About a year later I had need of a puck and Sky waived the fee as I hadn't taken advantage of the free puck a year previously.  They had no need to do this so it was excellent customer service IMHO.

I suspect some of the charge is partly to cover the cost of the puck, remote, HDMI and power supply.  I don't know how much they would cost but suspect it is nowhere near the £39.95
