Connecting my remote to the tv

I bought a new tv yesterday , I managed to connect the sky remote to my tv however it then disconnected. I am now recieving a message saying "my tv isn't compatible" and it no longer lets me connect my remote to the tv

Hi @Georgia26 

Try completely resetting the remote and re pairing again.

Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

I have followed these instructions several times but it still will not let me connect so I can control the sky remote to my tv.

Was this problem ever resolved?  I have experienced exactly the same problem with a Bush TV.  Was controlled by Sky Stream remote, but now not compatible.
