Can I sidegrade from Sky Puck to Sky Q?
I've recently rejoined sky and I'm not 100% keen on the Sky Puck, not being able to record shows, or switch sources for a games console are kind of annoying to be honest - is there a way to change to a Sky Q box?

Not sure sky Q allows you to switch sources to a games console ..... you ll need the tv remote for that
43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M350 hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.

Re: Can I sidegrade from Sky Puck to Sky Q?
I use the Sky Q remote to switch sources, do not understand why its not on the Sky Steam remote, you can not switch it by voice... 🙂 the sources button is the button on the bottom left so next to the `0` button on the Sky Q remote, not all TVs switch sources by themselfs.
Most do not update there TV untill it stops working, had mine for about 11 years.
You can't use the Sky Q Remote with Sky Steam, they work different I think unless its needs paring or something, I think Sky Q Remote is bluetooth, I have never tried to get it to work on Sky Stream so do not know.
I am not a Sky Engineer but at one time wanted to be one or a BT Engineer... 🙂
I like working things out like its a puzzle... 🙂
I was a PC Engineer and fix peoples PCs by going to there house, Windows XP was known to slow down PCs over time and clog up the PCs RAM and its start-up and had to reinstall it for the customer, the only way you could fix WinXP.

Re: Can I sidegrade from Sky Puck to Sky Q?
I think the reason Sky didn't add this button is probably the support resource it requires to maintain with ever changing TV codes. The OS is capable of it because in some regions like the US Xumo Stream box their remotes do have an input button.
You can use a Sky Q remote on Stream but only as a secondary non-Bluetooth remote, so it won't be able to do things like voice controls, only things that you can do via infrared.
