In the last month of so Sky Stream has just gone to hell:
1. C4 - proper flakey! artifacts on screen, buffering, advert fast forward countdown stuck at 01:37min remaining even in the programming, if you "watch from start" at the next advert break it crashes to black screen.
2. ITV - largely the same experience, notably while trying to watch Bake off and Celeb; previously possible to use play from start but it craps out AND then you run out of buffered time. No probs - across to ITVX, oh it's a live show so will be on the app ... eventually.
3. ITVX is an hilarious mess but at least the ads not loading spares me that pain but I'm sure someone would prefer their ads being shown!!

We share your hurt we too are going through woes!.
Over the last few weeks watching both Sky Stream on a puck or our Sky Glass has gone to pot and are becoming unusable.
1. Daily we have to reset them due to the picture going out of sync with the sound
2. Channels 1 - 5 if watching on delay at the next advert break or when the next program is due to start the system crashes. We are then unable to view the end of the program or rewind..
3. ITVX select a series to watch (eg Darling buds of May) then select to watch an episode, part way through the system jumps to another episode, with no option to view.
We moved to Sky from Virgin due to the technical problems, and cost, but at least the virgin system allowed u to view what we want and also bookmark progrsms that we had marked as wanting to "record". On top of this the speed of the broadband is far inferior.
The technical support for TV or Broadband was based aboard but there was a direct telephone number. They even usually were able to assist or point us in the right direction for help.

Watching ITV last night (whilst making this discussion) was a disaster. I'd guess at 6-8 crashes-to-black during I'm A Celeb with the quality of the footage being horribly janky. Same as above - buffering, audio sync, screen artifacts, and eventually the crash to black. Switch channel, switch back and you get 5-10 minutes before it crashes again.
Zero issue with the wifi, tested in the lounge, self-hosted streaming works flawlessly in higher bitrates/quality. Able to run Xbox Xcloud via wifi etc. etc. so these issues feel very much like a Sky Stream quality issue. It is markedly worse than this time last year - so I can only assume its like many things in the UK - more expensive but worse.
Happily it appears Virgin now provide for my area so I have more options; although they can be a challenging lot too.
