Firstly I just want to say I am so much happier with it than Sky Q, which I had for 8 years.
the picture quality is much better and it feels much sharper, faster and cleaner to use.
it does still have some bugs though. I can't believe that still Sky hardware and software has these issues and glitches.
1. I have it set to remain online in standby, but sometimes when I turn one on it says it is disconnected and takes a couple of minutes to reconnect to the wifi. Just why?
2. The main playlist is fine but individual playlists don't seem to sync in the cloud. I've just gone back to using one playlist for the whole house.
3. if you aren't watching something or haven't pressed a button it turns itself off after 10 minutes. I don't want that and there seems to be no setting for it. Such a pointless thing for it to do.
hopefully software updates during its lifespan will get it really singing. Q never really got there but I think this can.

There is no way it should be turning off after 10 minutes. After a few hours you may get an onscreen message that it is about to switch off. Switching off after 10 minutes is fault.

It's not a fault. It could be 15 but it's not when you are watching something. If you leave it paused or on the home menu and don't touch it, it turns off.
It's clearly an eco feature but we should have some control over it and the time is far too short.

It does it on all 5 of my stream pucks.

Glad you are enjoying it.
I had my Sky Q for eight years and have now had my Sky Stream for four weeks.
Agree, as I mentioned in my review on here about the increase in picture and sound quality here;

In answer to your questions.
1. Go to Settings>Start up and standby>Network standby mode
Turn this to On.
Repower the Sky Puck at some point to set it.
2. I use four different playlists and all work fine. seems odd why one you have created would be doing that.
All playlists act the same across the pucks, there is no order for them. Their order is just in which order you set them up and you can create and add/delete a playlist or any content within them from any puck.
3. If on the home page or within a menu and not viewing any content full screen, it will do this 10 minute option.
It is odd ( ther apparently as some kind of eco mode) and also hopefully agree it will have a switch or change at one point.

If nothing is being actively watched i.e you are just on the home screen, or if you have paused live TV, then after 10 minutes a message will pop up saying to pick up the remote to stop the device going into standby.
Its slightly different if you have left it idle (or paused) inside one of the apps e.g iplayer, as you get so much longer than 10 minutes to have to pick up the remote to sotp it going into standby. I can only assume that when an app is currently open, regardless of what is going on inside the app the device is detecting that someone is actively using/watching it, likely because Sky aren't able to keep track of what you are doing inside one of the apps.

I thought the OP was talking about watching TV but I see now it is when nothing is being watched.

I have had 2 streaming boxes in 7 days, what a load of rubbish, first box nightmare, second box worse, cancelled my contract and sent them back. This tech is a load of rubbish as sky have not given a thorough public test just slung it to us. Would it not be better and far cheaper for sky to have a app like other providers of tv, far better no bugs, no phoning sky to sort this stupid box out, 5, channel 4, and many others have got apps that work perfectly well on our tv,s they are only forcing streaming on us as satellite broadcasting will be stopping in or around 2030, sky need to get a grip no more boxes just a sky app.

That's Sky Go is it not and works on Apple TV boxes with the relevant Sky TV Subscription obviously.
NowTv is an app available on Smart tv's there are always other options Sky aren't forcing you into Sky Stream or Sky Q

Why are they not giving out sky q boxes any more only sky streaming boxes, I have asked for a sky q box and they told me they only supply sky streaming to new customers. Sky have already said they are not subscribing to satellite broadcasting after 2030, so in a way they are forcing people to take up this new technology just make it better than what it is now.

The website deals are telling me different @Allen13
I also checked the Legal Bits with regards to the above.

Simply not true: Q is still a product.
Sky have already said they are not subscribing to satellite broadcasting after 2030, so in a way they are forcing people to take up this new technology
That is however true: the two things are not mutually exclusive. If the current satellites aren't replaced in the next five years (which SES has made no signs of doing) then Sky cannot continue to offer satellite television past their end-of-life.
