top gun maverick not available in uhd

top gun maverick is available on sky store to buy from next monday 22nd of august which is good to know. But still no option to buy the movie in uhd, for such a high profile movie when will sky store move with the times and have options to buy in uhd? it looks like prime video has the uhd option to  buy. come on sky store move with the times.

Top Gun Maverick has not been released yet on any home viewing service. It has made a fortune at the box office on the big screen so Paramount have decided to keep it there for as long as possible. 
It looks like it may get a home release next month.

Did you find out if sky q will make top gun available in 4K? Don't understand why Prime and iTunes do but not Sky

It'll be to make you buy it in HD, then a few months later they'll drop the UHD one to make you buy it again.

No other reason.

i contacted sky store and you get the same response saying they have no date when sky store will sell uhd films its hd only, but will pass my concerns on. so i bought it through amazon prime in uhd, another loss for sky store.  silly thing about sky store you can buy it only in hd and when movies are released on sky cinema its available in uhd . sky store needs a big up.

I just watched the rental in uhd hdr on amazon for about a fiver, and it is still only for sale in hd on sky. The uhd hdr rental on amazon has subs to I wonder if sky will have subs on the uhd hdr version they don't usually.
