Why can’t I buy or rent movies on my tv from sky store?

I am trying to rent a movie from the sky store and it won't let me...thanks

The message is a little bit misleading as it is nothing to do with your payment details. Every Sky Store account has a limit on it to prevent overspending so either you have hit yours or a previous purchase has not be paid for, either way this is something the Sky Store support team will be able to fix, so you can contact them via a live chat that opens at 11am each day and closes at 7.30pm, it will be available via here;

It says I don't have enough credit on my viewing card? I pay by direct debit and noone in sky has ever mentioned topping up card before

It could also be that your Sky Store spending limit has been set at £0 meaning you can't purchase anything !

I'm not sure what's going on with sky I'm totally up-to-date with all payments and I thought I would try skyglass AGAIN as I sent it back last time as I didn't like the poor service ,,but this time I was told by the sky advisor that it is much better now,,but it isn't,, because I never had this many problems with sky Q I could rent the movies I like and it was added to my bill,,,now ,even though I already have sky store it will not let me rent any movies,,,I'm pretty cheesed off to be honest,,,,its also asking for an offer code which I never had before on skyQ,,it shows the movie on the left of the screen and on the right it says add offer code, total to pay and continue,,I press continue and I'm back to square one having to go through it all again,

It sounds like @Portraitartist perhaps your Skystore account does not yet have a credit limit set up. 

This is usually something which you and Sky have to speak about to agree an amount and for the Skystore team to apply it to your account. 

They don't open till 11am tomorrow (Saturday) but live chat are usually very helpful when they do
