Can anyone suggest a solution why some sky programs recoded on Q cannot be downloaded on iPad. I travel a lot in UK, so being able to Download on iPad really matters. When you pay a high price for movie rental you'ld expect to be able to watch it.

Rental through Sky Store is not the same mechanism as content consumption on a Sky Cinema subscription.

Content downloaded as a time-limited rental to a Q box cannot be transferred to Sky Go because Go does not have the ability to enforce the expiration required by the rights owner: that's why the Store app is different software.

That would explain it. However, there is no alert to that fact when you rent a movie. As a customer I most certainly would expect that alert to appear every time when renting an item from sky. Had I been alerted I would have rented from Amazon Prime instead.
Thank you. I shall never rent from Sky again.

Do you have the Sky Store app on your iPad?

Of course I do. I've tried several times to get it to download from sky store, but it does not appear on any list. Only bought items, not rentals. I've download it now from Amazon prime. Shame about the wasted rental money, but you learn.

You can also use skystore.com on an iPad.
Where you can access movies depends how they are rented?
I believe if you rent on skystore.com you cannot access rentals on Sky DSat devices, and if on a DSat device as you have not on streaming devices!
I've stopped using skystore for purchases/rentals and only use other stores!

You have the option to pay on your card (online purchases) or have it added to your Sky account (buying on your Sky box)
It's rentals where there is a big lack of flexibility and you need to have a much more limited need for your viewing. eg - if you want to rent and view on your Sky box then it's perfectly ok.
For both methods however, with Sky you are sometimes more limited if you want to watch in UHD and that will be a factor for some.

... although other services are far superior when buying UHD!
