This will almost certainly not be anything you have done wrong 

 

Sometimes - a customer's rental / purchase limit gets set to a low amount or to £0 as a way of avoiding unplanned expenditure 

 

You just need to contact the Skystore team to ask them to agree a limit for purchases

Thank you. First time looking to rent via SkyQ and never heard anything about this. Never an issue on Sky HD box as it just got added to the bill which is paid by direct debit.

I think you would have had a new viewing card when you had your Sky Q box installed so it might be that the card hasn't been activated for Sky Store purchases. Whatever it is the Sky Store team will be bale to look into this and fix it for you.

I get fed up with Sky but the alternative is even worse. It's Friday eve and I thought I'd rent the new Scream movie for my family to watch but as I tried to rent ( for the first time since having Sky Q, even though I've had Sky Q for around 2 or 3 years) and I got the same message - ' not enough credit on card.' I too pay via DD and my bill is up to date! I can't even get Box Sets on TV, only on my phone! Why all the issues Sky? Years ago, before Sky Q I used to always rent movies without issue. It seems that as technology gets better Sky gets worse. I don't want to have to ring up Sky in the morning because I'm at work. In this day and age we should be able to access everything on Sky Q, especially when I am paying a fortune for all the services. Sincerely, Angry in Merseyside

Your Sky bill and paying it has nothing to do with the error. As explained earlier in the posts above all Sky viewing cards have a limit on them to preventing over spending at the Sky Store so as you have never rented something before then your limit is set to £0 so you need to get in touch with Sky Store support and ask them to reset your spending limit, there is a live chat that starts at 11am in the morning if that helps:

What you are seeing is fairly common but the solution from @caesarome in the post before yours - is the way to resolve it.

Same problem @annaalt2825 means the solution already posted applies to you as well so if you use the live chat from 11am tomorrow the Sky Store team will fix it for you.

I find a good way (if you have time) is to log on and get in the queue at about 10.56 / 10.57 am just before the agents go live 

 

it's worked for me 2 or 3 times in the past if I've needed that team.
