Subtitles not on film from Sky Store

We ordered No Time to Die last night. I was very disappointed to find that it had no subtitles. The sound track was not great and was a bit too "realistic" (i.e. mumberly) - I could only understand about half of it. For £15 I expected better. I think anything on Sky Store should clearly state whether it has subtitles or not.

The FAQ says that Subtitles are not currently provided.

 

Although, there does appear to be some items which do say they have subtitles in the description.

 

I found a post by a Sky employee in November 2021 that they are working on an upgrade for 2022 so subtitles will be provided.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

In the "useful information"  in Sky store it does say this but it is buried away and realistically you have to know to look for it 

 

Sky have said they hope to bring in subtitles to some movies in Skystore in 2022 but I haven't heard any more than that 

 

You could try to livechat with Sky on the website or app to see if they are willing to offer you a refund or credit

We don't currently offer subtitles on Sky Store, but we're working on it."

Many thanks to Mike and P&J. I wish Sky would make it clear exactly what you're getting in Sky Store for any particular item. It means I can't trust Sky and consequently won't be buying anything else from the Sky Store.

I'm sure @markseadog I have seen some rental    titles with subtitles in the store but not buy and keep.

Sky store movie don't have subtitles at all only one or two have subtitles...it's not good enough all movies  must have subtitles every single movies... why making so difficult for deaf people's like me can't watch movie don't have subtitles!!! It's not deaf awareness!!

I'm fed up of this. Just bought Elvis on sky store to keep and no subtitles. This is dreadful discrimination against hard of hearing. I'm not heard of haring bit both of my parents are, I invited them to come watch the movie and no subtitles.  What is going on??? @skyA I want a refund and I need you to give me a date of when you will be supplying subtitles to all movies. Ridiculous and very bad form and so unprofessional.

Whilst most on here will be sympathetic with your concern- this is a "customer helps customer" forum and not a way to contact Sky 

 

The person you have tagged in looks to me to be a fairly new Sky customer

They joined in 2010 so not quite a new customer as you have not tagged in Sky there @Nat+Cooke but some customer from days gone by !

I've bought a lot of movies on sky store in HD that have subtitles but only a few in UHD.

Just purchased Top gun maverick from sky store which has a very poor mumbling sound track in places and i cannot believe it does not have subtitles?This is just unbelievable.This copy is therefore unfit for purpose and i request a full refund.This request will possibly  fall on deaf ears.A very disappointed sky customer.Once bitten.

I wrote a long para and it disappeared.  So again:.  Agree. I have to watch No Tme to Die on ITV tonight .  Bought months ago, not again.  Sky should do better.  I wear hearing aids and cannot understand all. Even Boxsets have no subtitles?! I watched State of Play this weekend and missed key dialogue.  Not impressed.
